Sediments is my second art project in a series of autobiographic works based in self-portraiture and erotica, narrating my lived experiences as a transfeminine nonbinary person based out of Delhi, India. Executed over fifteen months, this series consists of 100+ graphic art pieces arranged in a singular semi-linear narrative. It's a visual journal, documenting various messages communicated to me — be it verbal, textual or implied; messages, that quietly sunk into the memories of the last thirty years of my life. Memories, which inevitably settled upon my sense of self, forming a complex composition over time, layer upon layer. The reality of this composition is perhaps, what I understand today as my "identity".
C A T A L O G U E
Print and Production
90% of the works are executed in simple flat vectors without complex effects, which enables them to be scaled on any desired size or format and be produced on a variety of mediums, be it paper or canvas. This catalogue primarily demonstrates portrait formats of the artworks, while all of them exist in landscape format as well, either of which can be printed as desired.
